Pupil Premium

What is Pupil Premium?

Pupil Premium is additional funding to help schools close the attainment gap between disadvantaged children and their peers.  The school will receive Pupil Premium funding if a child:

  • Is eligible for free school meals (FSM) or has been at any point over the past 6 years.
  • Is looked after.
  • Has been adopted, has a special guardianship order or a child arrangements order.
  • Has a parent int he armed forces.

Pupil Premium is dependent upon parents/carers completing the appropriate documentation. If you think your child may be eligible please download a form here and return it to school once completed.

Here at Balliol Primary School, Pupil Premium funding is spent in a variety of ways to improve pupil attainment. Whilst academic support is a key feature, the school will also use the money in other ways to overcome barriers to learning.
