Balliol's Health & Safety Team
Balliol's Health & Safety Team consists of two representatives from each class (years 1 to 6), Mr Burton and Mrs Thompson. The aim of the team is to:
- To assist in the development and maintenance of safety rules in school.
- To communicate the importance of following health and safety rules to their peers.
- To help identify and know how respond to any hazards in school.
Last year our focus was road safety. We ran a road safety poster competition which was judged by our Health & Safety Governor, Mike Carter. The winning entries were made into campaign posters which are now displayed on our perimeter fence.
This year our focus will be to develop child friendly risk assessments for classrooms and outdoors.
